The JUMBO duo are unabashed foodies and creatures of comfort who designed the Fortune Chair with nostalgia in mind. When Monling immigrated from Taiwan to the United States at the age of thirteen she enjoyed her very first fortune cookie. To this day she remains smitten with the cellophane-wrapped crispy wafer, its iconic pinched-circle shape and the surprise message hidden inside. This comfort food became the inspiration for the joyfully abstract Fortune Chair.
